SHL0MS - $CAR
I worked with the SHL0MS team in early 2022 to create this promo video for the $CAR project — a collection of 999 exquisitely captured pieces of an exploded Lamborghini Huracan. This was probably the largest-scale project I’ve worked on, and creating this video was an equally ambitious feat.
We combed through hundreds of hours of artist interviews and footage from the last 100+ years, pulling referential bits and pieces from dozens of brilliant artists to pay homage to the greats and help contextualize this piece as a part of art history. In a way the process of creating the video itself had to match the scale and complexity of the piece for it to be successful, and I think we achieved that.
The original video has 200k+ views on Twitter as of the time of writing. It also may or may not have attracted the attention of one ‘Ye’ 😉
The 24-hour auction took place on March 5th, 2022, generating nearly 800 ETH for the 888 pieces made available for sale to the public.
